High School Seniors
 
Requirements to apply:
 
  1. Must have an ACT composite of 23 or greater or SAT composite of 1060 or greater (Only Verbal/Critical Reading and Math scores will be considered for the SAT composite score) and
  2. Must have a 3.0 minumum high school cumulative GPA on a non-weighted 4.0 scale and
  3. Must have an English ACT of at least 18 OR Verbal/Critical Reading SAT of at least 450 and
  4. Must have a Math ACT of at least 18 OR Math SAT of at least 430 and
  5. Must be admitted to the Univeristy

What is the deadline?
 
  • The deadline for UL Lafayette academic scholarships is January 31, 2008. However, it could change. Be sure to check with UL Lafayette for the date each year.
 
What must I include with my application?
 
  • You must apply for admission to UL Lafayette and be admitted
  • You must attach a copy of your 6 or 7 semester high school transcript
  • You must attach a copy of your ACT or SAT scores and /or have your scores sent to UL Lafayette
  • Make sure all signature lines are filled with proper signatures
 
Scholarship Opportunities for Incoming Freshmen (Fall 2008)
 
  • The Jefferson Caffery Scholarship
    • Requirements:
      • ACT composite 30+ or SAT 1240+ (combined Math & Verbal/Critical Reading SAT)
      • 3.0 cumulative high school GPA
      • National Merit Semifinalist or Finalist
    • Total Value of $26,200 includes:
      • Academic Scholarship of $8,000
      • Jefferson Caffery Scholarship of $4,000
      • Housing Scholarship of $6,100
      • Participation in UL Lafayette France Program of $4,000
      • Academic Scholarship Job with value of $5,200
      • Use of a computer
  • The UL Lafayette Academic Scholarship*
    • Requirements:
      • ACT composite 28+ or SAT 1240+ (combined Math & Verbal/Critical Reading SAT)
      • 3.0 cumulative high school GPA
    • Total Value of $8,000 includes:
      • $1,000 each semester for 8 semesters
  • The UL Lafayette Centennial Valedictorian Scholarship*
    • Requirements:
      • Students who completed high school with the designation of valedictorian
    • Total Value of $1,000 includes:
      • $500 each semester for 2 semesters
*Awarded upon graduation; student must contact UL Lafayette Scholarship Office for more information.
 
Many scholarships are awarded as a result of students' ranking by the UL Lafayette Academic Scholarship Committee, availability of funds, and in compliance with TOPS regulations. Scholarships range from $500 to $26,200.
