| Students receiving Stafford Loans at UL Lafayette as a first time borrower are required to
complete an entrance counseling questionnaire. This questionnaire explains the responsibilities as a
borrower and information about different loan types. Upon graduation, or if a student stops attending school,
he/she will be required to complete an exit counseling questionnaire. The exit counseling explains
payment responsibilites and information about payment options. To complete loan entrance or exit counseling click here. http://www.mappingyourfuture.org/OSLC/ As a first time borrower, students are required to complete a master promissory note. This signature is required in order for the lender to disburse funds to the school. We now offer the option to sign the prommisory note online in order to expedite the processing of funds. To electronically sign your master promissory note click here. http://www.opennet.salliemae.com/apploansummary/?school_id=00203100 An option for additional loans are alternative loans. Alternative loans offer students a higher loan limit, within the student budget, than Federal Stafford loans. They also carry a higher interest rate. Our recommendation is to accept Stafford loans first and foremost and if needed request a signature or private loan. |
