Fletcher Hall

Fletcher Hall is home to the Visual Arts department and the School of Architecture in the College of the Arts. This building is also home to the Visual Resource Center. Completed in 1971, it is named in honor of Joel Lafayette Fletcher, UL Lafayette's third president. He became a faculty member in 1920 and served as president from 1941-1966. Fletcher created Cypress Lake by flooding Cypress Grove.
